Garage48 is the boot-camp initiative to build new services in just 48 hours taking place in Tallinn, Estonia. It’s a long weekend 16-18th of April, starting in Friday evening with presenting ideas and peaking with the new product demos on Sunday evening.

Event will take place in Tallinn, at Estonian IT College. It is primarily doing-by-learning exercise by ad-hoc teams to develop a business idea into a working product or service. Potential ideas could be various web services, mobile applications or any other type of concepts that could be built within 48 hours.

ArcticEvening Tallinn: December 3rd

As this months event, on Thursday, December 3rd, instead of a regular morning morning meeting we’ll have a joint ArcticEvening Tallinn event starting at 18.00, together with our partners ArcticStartup and Connect Estonia.

The topic is “What is marketing for startups and how to do it effectively”.  We’ll talk about a crucial issue: how to expand from a small country beyond the borders across the world. The panel will include Petteri Koponen (Lifeline Ventures, ex Jaiku/Google), Kai Lemmetty (Floobs) and Martin Koppel (Fortumo). We’ll have one startup pitch before the panel and plenty of time for networking.

The event is free, but requires registration and seats are limited. You’ll find the Amiando registration and more information about what’s happening at the event description page.

Thank you in advance to our sponsors Hammarström Puhakka Partners, Estonian Development Fund and Amiando.

See you on Thursday!

What is OpenCoffee Club?

The OpenCoffee Club was started to encourage entrepreneurs, developers and investors to organise real-world informal meetups to chat, network and grow. Read the blog post that started the ball rolling.

We meet in Tallinn on every first Thursday of the month at 9-11 AM. The events are free and everyone is welcome. Our usual attendance is 25-50 persons.

We use a Facebook group as a primary place to post our official event invitations, updates and manage our member list. Please join the group. The group membership is now around 400 persons.

See you at the next OpenCoffee Club Tallinn event!
